As a result of the ongoing internationalization of its business model, Group sales increased by 3.4\u00a0percent compared to the same quarter of the previous year to 39.7\u00a0million\u00a0euros (Q3\u00a02015\/2016: 38.4\u00a0million\u00a0euros). Despite greater investments in workforce expansion, among other things, the Group EBIT at 5.9\u00a0million\u00a0euros was close to the level of the prior-year period (Q3\u00a02015\/2016: 6.0\u00a0million\u00a0euros). Earnings after taxes increased by 3.0\u00a0percent to 5.9\u00a0million\u00a0euros (Q3\u00a02015\/2016: 5.7\u00a0million\u00a0euros). And we are proud of this,\u201d says Leonardo Musso, Member of the KPS AG Executive Board.<\/p>\n<p>In the 3rd\u00a0quarter of\u00a02016\/2017, sales and earnings increased in line with expectations. On the basis of unaudited IFRS Group figures sales went up by 3.4\u00a0percent to 39.7\u00a0million\u00a0euros (Q3\u00a02015\/2016: 38.4\u00a0million\u00a0euros). Due to the workforce expansion to drive further company growth, the operating result (EBIT) of -1.0\u00a0percent was close to the level of the prior-year at 5.9\u00a0million\u00a0euros (Q3\u00a02015\/2016: 6.0\u00a0million\u00a0euros). The EBIT margin amounted to 14.9\u00a0percent (Q3\u00a02015\/2016: 15.6\u00a0percent). Overall, earnings after tax increased in the reporting period by 3.0\u00a0percent to 5.9\u00a0million\u00a0euros (Q3\u00a02015\/2016: 5.7\u00a0million\u00a0euros). Earnings per share increased almost to the same degree as sales by 3.0\u00a0percent to 0.16\u00a0euros (Q3\u00a02015\/2016: 0.15\u00a0euros).<\/p>\n<p>The Executive Board and management of KPS AG once again confirm the forecast for the business year 2016\/2017 with stable and profitable growth to Group sales of 160\u00a0million\u00a0euros and EBIT of 25.0\u00a0million\u00a0euros. This corresponds to an increase in sales of around 10\u00a0percent and a rise in operating result of 12\u00a0percent. Alongside the increase in sales, KPS is focusing consistently on sustainable optimization of earnings margins. Continued implementation of the internationalization strategy is expected to generate additional growth stimuli.
