PNE AG: Planning permission issued for “Gode Wind 3” offshore project
- Negotiated sale to DONG Energy has now been finalised
- Offshore competence of PNE WIND confirmed
Cuxhaven, January 17, 2017 – PNE WIND AG again provided proof of its competence in the area of development of offshore wind farm projects. The German Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH) issued in December 2016 the planning permission for the “Gode Wind 3” project. On this basis, offshore wind power turbines in the multi megawatt class can be erected in “Gode Wind 3”.
PNE WIND has thus achieved the next step in the sale of the “Gode Wind” wind parks. Once the planning permission was issued, the already negotiated sale of the project to the Danish energy Group DONG Energy could be finalised in December. PNE WIND AG has therefore achieved a further significant milestone in its offshore activities.
“Gode Wind 3” is located in the North Sea within the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ). The project has been planned and developed by PNE WIND AG in connection with further projects which have already been approved previously. In 2012, the offshore wind farms of the “Gode Wind” family were sold to DONG Energy, which allocated these wind farms into four projects. Two of these wind farms, i.e. “Gode Wind” 1 and 2, have meanwhile been commissioned by DONG.
Markus Lesser, Chief Executive Officer of PNE WIND AG, comments: “The path to obtaining the planning permission has not always been easy. Here, the high level of competence of our offshore team around Thorsten Fastenau has paid off. The intensive work and high quality of the project ensured our success, which will also be reflected by a milestone payment to PNE WIND. With its five planning permissions to date, PNE WIND is one of the most successful offshore developers in Germany.”
